oohhh haven't done these kinds of posts in a long time. i've been quite obsessed with online window shopping lately since i'm starting to look into possible gifts for the people in my christmas list. it's been so tempting because even though my main purpose is to find gifts for other people, i end up just filling up my own wishlist. selfish much? hahahaha!

thanks! i forgot to mention that i actually got that denim bustier from zara trf thru chic rewards. im totally looking forward to layering it with some tops and pairing it with some high waisted bottoms this season!! :D

them wedges..

so here's the deal.. some of you have requested a closer second look to these new wedges i got from zara and the good thing is i recently wore it with this outfit. so of course, i went on to take outfit photos!

outfit: vintage knit sweater, talula skirt c/o aritzia, zara wedges, payless tights

i wore it to work and my supervisor was asking me how i could walk on them.. to be honest, they're pretty sturdy, especially since they are wood wedges and there are hidden platforms in front of the shoe.

i have a bit of a concern though. i don't know if it's just me, but for some reason my right foot fits better than my left one with this pair. i read somewhere that technically speaking one foot is bigger than another so im guessing my left foot is the bigger one, eh?

i have even resorted to double checking if i got the same size for the left and right shoe, hahaha! so yeah, if you have any tips for me on how to easily loosen up the left shoe, i'd really appreciate it in the comments section.

aaahh yes.. the weather has been amazing indeed!! :D im loving this positive temperatures lately.. and the sun is just perfect after i get home from work to take outfit shots!!! oh and im glad that im having that extra hour to sleep this weekend (fyi: daylight savings time!!)

new wedges!!!!

remember my last haul post? i did mention that i got wedges from zara but for some reason, the site doesn't have a picture of it anymore. so today, i decided to take it for a spin and test it out (hahaha, i test my shoes out.. yeah, i know i'm a dork!)

all i can say is.. i love love love it!! i've been trying to look for a pair of camel/brown booties. i got a bit picky since i didn't like something lace up (i have a couple already of those); didn't like a suede finish to the fabric (since it's just so hard to maintain during rainy/snowy days); didn't want the length to cut off my calves (because that would just make me shorter); and of course wanted something on the more affordable-reasonable price.

it was a toss between this pair and something that i saw in aldo. i ended up getting this because i just like that there's a smaller chance that i would bump into someone here with the same pair (don't have zara in this city).

i know the pictures are not the best, but i'm definitely taking more outfit posts this week. plus, im posting a my way, her way feature this weekend so yay for bringing fashion posts back!

so as i've mentioned in my old posts, i went on quite a shopping spree when i was in calgary. right now, i've tucked them away in my closet but since i haven't really done any decent fashion post (and i don't have an outfit photo to share with you today), i thought i'd share with you what i got...

i need more bottoms: loose trousers and cheap denim jeans from forever 21

quite a handful, eh? most of those are really things that have been on my ''need'' list like a good coat for winter, some trousers to give me more outfit combinations for work and the mask which i ran out of a few weeks ago. some of them, i just got by using old store gift cards that i have kept in my stash like the beret, blazer and blush (alliteration, much?). and some i just can't resist buying because of their insane cheap price namely the jeans for $11, the scrub for $3 and the eye pencil for $4.

bittersweet last day..

i had one more free day in calgary since i was able to request it at work. unfortunately, the boy had to go back to his routine of working 8-4 so after preparing breakfast with him, i was left to do some last minute shopping before heading back to winnipeg.

my last day in calgary was spent in the newly renovated chinook centre by my bf's place for some major shopping. the good thing was the mall had the only zara store in the city, the unfortunate thing was that the other stores i was looking forward to weren't open yet! booh!

after shopping i headed back to the apartment by using the c-train and started fixing my luggage for my trip back. it was so bittersweet since i felt so happy with my new purchases (i spent all my shopping money in zara. hahaha!), but at the same time, it was my last day with the boy. it made me feel sad that the blissful weekend was over and my time with him was just cut short just like that. *sighs*

eeepp.. pardon me for being so cheesy in the last few posts. i guess, i really just miss the boy. but on a lighter note, now that i've gotten those stories in here, i can definitely go back to my regular postings. which reminds me... while i was away, my blog was featured in here in modlychic. feel free to check it out. i'll be bringing back food tripping thursdays tomorrow so watch out for it! :D

currently addicted to bodysuits!

as i mentioned in my previous post, i went to zara yesterday to check out their new items. even though, there weren't any sales whatsoever, i was so drawn to the bodysuits in their new arrivals section. aaahhh!!! i've been obsessing over bodysuits for quite some time now, just like how im still obsessed with connector rings! hahahaha! if only i could transform all my current tops to their bodysuit version, i would!

anyway, i made some online surfing to my fave stores and picked out bodysuits that are definitely on my wishlist!

Day at the Mall

i totally had no time to post of what transpired yesterday so let me make it up to you. i went out with my bf to his side of the city. you see, he's staying at the southeast part of calgary, while my stuff are here in the northwest side in my cousin's house. so i took the train and met up with him so that he can show me around in the 'south' area of the city.

outfit: AA tunic & scarf, suzy shier blazer, dynamite leggings, le chateau boots

we went to the chinook centre and i was so happy to finally see a greater variety of retail stores! in winnipeg, we don't have zara so when i saw the store i was ecstatic to enter it and see what goodies i can purchase! teehee!

after a few hours of walking around the mall, my bf's cousin called him up and decided to watch a movie that night in the same mall. we ended up watching "percy jackson & the olympians the lightning thief". it was an average movie. predictable plot, ok visual effects, average acting. let's just say that i could have waited for the dvd/blu ray version of it.
that was the day more or less, i spent a good few hours uploading pictures from the previous day when we went to the zoo. it's in my multiply so if you're interested to see what we did in the zoo, click this.
