package haul post!!

this year, i decided to buy most of my christmas gifts online. of course, i just couldn't resist getting some items for myself too! eeepp, bad, i know!! so here goes another haul post.. believe me, i received way too many packages this month that my room was just full of boxes before i started wrapping them. hahaha!

that's about it! hopefully, i'll take outfit photos next week. this weekend is just too cold (-30 celsius) and im glad i decided to just stay here at home at start wrapping holiday presents!! weeehhh!!!

aahhh.. last year, i went thru the hassle of last minute shopping so this year, i told myself that i need to get it early either in the malls or thru online stores (ordering them late november). im now happy to say that im half way thru christmas wrapping!! weeeehh!!!

im trying to make the most out of my wardrobe right now by just layering pieces that i have used over the summer. the weather has been quite nice this week and im just grateful that we're still on the positive temperatures.

oh and btw, here are some things that arrived in my mail in the past few weeks. im still waiting for one of my chic rewards from threadsence but it still hasn't arrived. it's been a month already and im afraid that it got lost somewhere.. :(

recent purchases..

so as i've mentioned in my old posts, i went on quite a shopping spree when i was in calgary. right now, i've tucked them away in my closet but since i haven't really done any decent fashion post (and i don't have an outfit photo to share with you today), i thought i'd share with you what i got...

i need more bottoms: loose trousers and cheap denim jeans from forever 21

quite a handful, eh? most of those are really things that have been on my ''need'' list like a good coat for winter, some trousers to give me more outfit combinations for work and the mask which i ran out of a few weeks ago. some of them, i just got by using old store gift cards that i have kept in my stash like the beret, blazer and blush (alliteration, much?). and some i just can't resist buying because of their insane cheap price namely the jeans for $11, the scrub for $3 and the eye pencil for $4.

when i wore a cropped top in my most recent my way, her way feature, a couple of you suggested pairing it with a maxi skirt. the contrast of wearing a short top with a long bottom interested me so i gave it a try.

outfit: tminx cropped tee, vintage skirt, f21 shades, scarpasa sandals

i liked how it turned out actually. except for that first photo, did you notice that i wasn't looking at the camera with this set? totally unintentional, but i still like it.

anyway..
i finally received that last package that i've been expecting for this month. so that only calls for another haul post! hurray! can i just say, i'm such a dork.. when i know i'm expecting something in the mail i try not to open it until all of the packages arrive. then, i open them altogether so that i feel like it's christmas time and i have so many gifts! hahahaha! well, it's actually more of a treat to myself at the end of a long day.

lol that's what happened on my first day too, i was the only one who was in dress skirt and blouse while everyone there wore jeans and t-shirts!

you look so cute darling, that's a lovely outfit nonetheless =)

i like it that i get to dress up at work! i certainly can't wear heels during weekend beach getaways or say, a whole saturday shopping at the mall. being at an office is the perfect setting to wear the nicest clothes since the environment is good and i don't need to walk around too much. hahaha! im glad a lot of people actually can relate to my situation :)

back to fashion and beauty!

as promised, im all about catching up with all the fashion related posts that i owe you! as i mentioned in one of my posts, i went to a garage sale last week and i ended up bagging this floral romper. i actually didn't realize it was a romper until i got it, so i guess now i can say that i own my very first one!

outfit: vintage romper, 3d glasses, sirens belt, gojane oxfords, f21 ring

i think it's vintage because the cut is quite odd and low waisted --unlike the rompers that you see in stores right now. i actually like it. i just added a belt to break-up the floral print overdose and to make the style better for my bodyshape.

aside from the garage sale, i also received a few cosmetic items. im not a big make-up person, but once in a while i do find myself watching youtube tutorials and wanting to tinker around with my face. one of my professors at the university gave me the maybelline 4 eye shadow palette, while arianne gave me the nude lipsticks (neutrogena: sheer luck & revlon: almost nude).

she also gave me this wonderful 88 eye shadow color palette! look at those shades!! what more can i ask for! i'm no make-up expert, but i can't wait to experiment with this!!
