you know how you have one of those days when you feel like crap and you feel like you're not getting anything done.. feeling so unproductive and admittedly being frustrated in life? well, that's today for me. so i apologize for this post will be quick and short.

i spent the day invigilating over some accounting exams, hanging out with a bunch of university friends and preparing some things for my boyfriend in his parents' house (his parents are visiting him in calgary this weekend). aside from that, i pretty much ranted, i mean.. commented on how hot it has been all over the city.

as i mentioned in my previous post, i went to zara yesterday to check out their new items. even though, there weren't any sales whatsoever, i was so drawn to the bodysuits in their new arrivals section. aaahhh!!! i've been obsessing over bodysuits for quite some time now, just like how im still obsessed with connector rings! hahahaha! if only i could transform all my current tops to their bodysuit version, i would!

anyway, i made some online surfing to my fave stores and picked out bodysuits that are definitely on my wishlist!

surprises (part 1)

hey everyone!! i know i've been mentioning about a surprise i've been trying to cook up for my boyfriend. well, before i jump into that, i want to excitedly share with you some surprises i've received over the last month, most of which are from freebies or giveaways

1. Aritzia Gift Card. i was one of the lucky winners of a giveaway that vanessa of the hautepursuit had in her blog a month ago. even though the card has been with me for quite some time, i haven't used it yet. but i will soon!!!!!! im so excited!! i've been browsing around the aritzia site and i've been eye-ing a couple of things..
2. CSN Stores Gift Card. at around the same time, jess of lackofcreativity emailed me and told me that i won her giveaway. the folks from CSN Stores were kind enough to give me an online voucher worth $40 to spend on their site. how cool is that?! i still don't know what to get, any suggestions??

3. American Apparel Lace Bodysuit. remember a few months back when i mentioned that i was able to redeem an AA item from chictopia rewards? well, it ended up that that item didn't come in my size so the people from AA were kind enough to send me their lace bodysuit instead. i just received it today and to my surprise, they actually gave it to me in 2 colors: black and navy. im off to wearing them today for my big surprise later on (outfit post next time, i promise).
4. Beso.com Shopping Spree. eventhough i haven't been really active with blogging here, i continue to visit and support other bloggers. while stumbling upon erin of calivintage's blog, i discovered that i have won her giveaway! i've been browsing thru the beso.com site and been oogling over the things i can buy! aaahhh!!! right now, they're holding a contest to find out the best summer recipe you have and they're giving away a KitchenAid Mixer to the winner. isn't that exciting!? summer is here! hurray!


i think now i believe that life can be fair to you most of the time. hahaha!! eventhough i have been having the hardest of luck when it comes to my current employment status, simple things like this cheer me up and motivate me back to be on track. i hope things continue to be better..

my skin breakouts are terrible nowadays, i feel like im stressing out over unknown matters.

i've been stuck here at home today and i haven't had the motivation to go out since i've been thinking about things lately. anyway, they're no biggie (and no, i don't want to really note down dramatic stuff in my blog), but i thought of sharing a few things for today.

first, let me just give a shoutout to dear jasmine for being picked as part of the chictopia10 conference! i just found this thru her blog and i dont know if chictopia has released the other winners. but this is me saying to her that she should go!!!!!! hahahaha! i know she's still thinking about it due to expenses and time scheds, but i think that it will be great experience! plus, i would love to see her photography skills in action in NYC! drop by her blog to say hello and look at her wonderful pictures! also, she's hosting a give away so go go go! hahaha!
second, since i was just here at home today, i was able to stay online most of the time and was lucky enough to bag this pair of jumper pants from AA. im not sure if i can rock them just like liz of late afternoon since im really not as model-esque as her. but im gonna give it a try when i receive it and see how i can make it work for my body. im thinking of tapering it if it's too long for my height. as tim gunn would say, MAKE IT WORK! hahaha!
third, even though i didn't go out today, i thought of dressing up! hahaha! this is just a mix of what i have worn from the past few days.

so as i mentioned in my previous post, the weather was amazing today! let me give you the bad news first (since the rest of my entry will be good anyways). i totally forgot to take pictures outdoors with the glorious sun on my face! darn darn darn, i know! but i tried to still take a photo of my outfit regardless..

today, the bf and i planned to give away resumes to establishments around the city that we were hoping to work for. nothing great really... more of, we just needed something to keep us afloat with things since both of us are fresh grads. the job postings here in the city haven't been supportive of our fields nor our current experiences and employment history so right now, what we're really opting for is just something to keep us from being idle.

we had lunch at the mall and also dropped by kawaii crepe to try their sweet crepes for dessert.

i had to drop by american apparel to see what's new in the store and can i just say that i saw their nail lacquer in the flesh and fell totally in love. the bf wanted to get me 3 bottles since they had that 3 for $18 deal but i resisted the offer since i know that (1) we're both unemployed and i dont want him spending money for me on things like that and (2) the nail polish can wait. im not gonna die or anything if i dont get them right away. i will though at some other time. hahaha!

after that, we went around the city while the sun was still out. we didn't really want to waste the day just by going straight home. i stayed a bit at their place watching tfc (the filipino channel) and the new season of american idol.

i went home with a new pair of trousers, harem ones to be exact. a friend of mine recently purchased them online from forever21 and they got the size mixed up so she just sent them over to me. she even attached a note saying that it would be her holiday gift for me. such a sweetheart! i don't know if she'll be reading this, but thank you, dear!!!!
