my boyfriend's cousin is a manager for one of the smitty's restaurant in the city so after work, we decided to hit his lounge and grab something to eat.
we were fortunate that it was wing night! so of course, i had to have my favorite flavor: electric honey (that's honey garlic coated chicken wings rolled in lemon pepper)! yummy!
we also got to play the electronic darts which is my new favorite lounge game/activity. i used to play billiards all the time, but the darts are so much easier and quicker to play.
speaking of lounge night, i stumbled upon this new video of the latest single from them: youth called toothache. kinda catchy, i must say...
im not a big hiphop rap fan, but once in a while i do appreciate good music, meaningful lyrics and a great awesome music video! i jsut need to say that this is intense! i never knew how to get around to making this a fashion post, but i guess i don't need to.
Eminem proving he’s still one of the greatest rappers out there. Rihanna proving she can move on after Chris Brown. Dominic Monaghan proving there is still life after Lost. Megan Fox proving she’s still the hottest girl in the world -- even without Transformers.
It's so funny how we all talk about this hot weather. It's killing me. I feel at times I don't want to go outside and take pictures without burning up or sweating. You look great. I love simplicity of the colors.
yes yes, i totally know what you mean with the weather.. the thing is, i really shouldn't hate that it's this hot right now because half of the year, we have snow. we are pretty lucky to be having this much heat and sunshine. it's just been so hard to dress up. before even leaving the house, i feel like im sweating buckets already! hahaha!! how about the rest of you? how's the weather treating you in your city lately?
i've been running some errands at the university this week so there has been a slow down in postings and blog hopping, i apologize if i haven't gotten back to anyone.
i think i deserve to vent once in awhile because sometimes, even though life seems to be fine, it slaps you in the face and makes you feel worthless, unproductive and just plain stupid.
i've been drowning myself with maria mena, ingrid michaelson and elisa's songs until i fall asleep.
you know how you have one of those days when you feel like crap and you feel like you're not getting anything done.. feeling so unproductive and admittedly being frustrated in life? well, that's today for me. so i apologize for this post will be quick and short.
i've been pondering about things. and i promise to swing back to my cheery and more interesting self tomorrow. as for now, i leave you with lady gaga's new video for alejandro..
what are your thoughts?? it's another 9-minute music video, ftw!?
I get cravings for corn dogs too! haha! Love the gif! What program do you use to make it?
i get the gif question all the time and just so everyone can make their own animated posts, you can all go to picasion.com. it's an online tool and easy to use. make me a happy kid by sending your gif images to my inbox.. :)

while you think about it, let me share with you what im gonna do tonight after i post this entry.
so i spent this day just browsing the web. i finally got to open my looklet account once again. i remember joining this site when it still had few users and items. for those of you who do not know, looklet is your ideal paper doll site boasting with the latest designer items from bags, shoes and clothing.
now that i logged in to it after so many months of being idle, i was surprised to see how much it changed. they have so many articles here and there, plus the choices for your wardrobe are beyond amazing! here's what i spent hours doing today.. i will still return to it after i post this. hahaha! how lame is my thursday night. :p but if you're bored like me, go jump to the looklet site! :D
i just saw the trailer for dear john and i can't help but look into the song played in there. i discovered that it's by snow patrol feat. martha wainwright. it's currently playing inside my head!!! :)
i don't even know where to begin with this post! i just spent a good couple of hours uploading this video from the concert awhile ago. and i think it's time to blog about it! aaaaahhhh!!!! switchfoot did not disappoint!
so let me first share what i end up wearing for the night. we arrived one hour before the opening of the concert doors since it was a first come-first served event. this outfit was enough to last me through the waiting so that's good! :D
outfit: suzy shier jacket, AA shirt, garage leggings, le chateau boots, greenhills scarf
bare with me and my pictures since i dont have a good camera nor was my location very ideal for good pictures. on with the show now, yes?
jon foreman (vocalist) started their first song just beside the bleachers area where we were seated hence the really close up pictures of his back! hahaha! the band sang songs from their current album and ended the night with hits from their older records. it was amazing to just sway, headbob and sing with the crowd and the band themselves! hahaha! after a really fun, dynamic and solid show, we decided to grab some late night food in vi-ann (vietnamese restaurant). got some soup and calamari. odd combination? yeah.. but totally delicious! hahaha! great way to cap the night..
oh god, it's 5am. i still need to update my chictopia for more outfit photos! hahahahaha!
today was family sunday. we had lunch here at our place. and thank goodness for lotsa lotsa food! hahaha! after lunch, my cousins decided that i should go with them to the outlet stores. to tell you quite frankly, i didn't want to go since i knew that going with them means buying something. but of course, i can't resist that invite especially from those kids. hahaha! the sales were still on. i guess most of the stores are still trying to get rid of their inventories from last year in time for the new stock this spring.
outfit: kamiseta tunic, joe fresh belt, sm socks, sirens boots, celine bag
this is me hurrying up to go to the car! haha!
i did end up buying something, but i want to save it for my haul post. i promise, i will do that as soon as i have a substantial amount of items to post. hahaha!
after shopping, my bf and i went a friend's place to visit her and her newborn baby! :D she gave birth to a baby girl about 2 weeks ago and she is just the sweetest thing... on other news....
tomorrow, i will be watching switchfoot in concert!!!! YAY!!! for those of you who haven't heard of them.. here's one of their more popular hits..
I'm so psyched for this!!! The only thing is.. I don't have anything to wear yet! Any suggestion outfit for a rock concert?? :)
today, the weather was amazing. we actually reached zero degree celsius! that's like spring temperature. anyway, that was the only thing that really happened today. i was supposed to hang out with some friends together with my bf but i wasn't able to go (don't ask, it happens all the time and i have gotten used to it.). the sad thing is i was all dolled up already, as you will see in my pictures (make-up, perfume, hair and outfit).
outfit: suzy shier blazer, AA circle scarf, greenhills top as a skirt, AA leggings, sirens boots, forever 21 ring
another sad thing.. i was supposed to not blog about this anymore since i've mentioned it already in my chictopia, but for some reason they got rid of my pictures in the style gallery. so here they land back to my blog. TADA!
anyway, i hope you did not get bored with this small ranting post. haha!
i know i should forget, but i can't
on a lighter note, it's the weekend! hope you have a good one!
so i've been listening to her for a number of years now. i first heard of imogen heap from a friend back in the philippines. she even used to collaborate with another guy when they were still known as frou frou. i started relistening to her/them when i heard their songs in grey's anatomy. aaahhhh!!! she's such a genius! i love her tunes and the vibe i get from her music. :) yeah, my bf always teases me coz i like quirky, weird, indie music and singers.
i know this movie is from a couple of months ago but it was only now that i got to rent the bluray disc and watch it with my bf. i've been meaning to see this because i've heard that the soundtrack to this movie would be my type of music: magical, whimsical, indie, pleasant and just acoustic quirky goodness. and i totally got more than wonderful music from this movie.
no, i'm not your movie expert and quite frankly, i just started watching random hollywood movies when i got here in canada (since there is nothing much to do when it's winter time!). thus, i don't really mind whether you agree or disagree with my 'review'. teehee!
anyway, on to the movie. so 500 days of summer is your typical boy meets girl story, falls in love kind of deal and well.. i don't want to spoil the ending. hahaha! but what i totally adored about it is how they presented the plot with the flashbacks rotated in the different 'days of summer' and how they incorporated the animation within the movie itself. if you've watched juno and remember that first part where they were drawing the sceneries and backgrounds for the main actors, that's the same idea in this movie but with a more romantic twist.
i also think that the 2 main actors in this movie were the perfect people to play the characters of summer and tom. i have this weakness for awkward characters and that's probably why i loved them both here. plus, their outfits were so stunning!!! summer's clothes were so adorable and picture perfect all the time! tom's were so neat and just charming. pics from wearability.posterous.com & londonnet.co.uk
as i've mentioned, the soundtrack is my kind of music. cool, easy to the ears, refreshing and just something that will make you feel good. it went so well with the whole vibe of the movie. with the likes of regina spektor, feist, vagabond and yes, even mumm-ra, how can you go wrong?! :) here some music and see some videos here.
overall, i totally loved this movie! (heck of course i'll probably gonna end up giving reviews to those that i like, yes? hahahaha!)
