the holiday rush..

it's 4 days to go until christmas and crazy me decided to brave the mall to get one last gift for my boyfriend. aaahhh!!! it was totally insane! a lot of students are done with their finals and a lot of people are still shopping at the last minute so it was totally packed inside.

i've been deciding if i need to get a new outfit for my family's christmas eve party, but i've decided to save the money that im going to spend on that and just buy something on sale on boxing day (dec 26). besides, i still have some clothes in my closet that i haven't worn yet.

i'll be busy in the next few days with some holiday preparations, plus the fact that i still have to go to work til the 24th. but i'll still try my best to update this blog, i promise!

from one party to the next...

after work, i attended a christmas party last night at montana's with some nurse friends.

my battery ran out after dinner just when we headed to ken's place for some karaoke and jello shots. so it's too bad i dont have pictures to share of that! but, i was able to take outfit photos the other day at work...

hahaha!! snow indeed!! i used to take snow photos all the time last year here in my blog; i'd just take off my coat and give myself a minute or two to set up the timer and be outta there as soon as possible. this year though, it's so rare for me to do that since both before and after work (the only times i can take decent shots), it's dark outside already.

still continuing with my agony of not being able to take outdoor photos, i braved it awhile ago and decided to get these shots for today. this was after work already so im kind of stressed and tired-looking, teehee!

the snow has pretty much taken over our backyard and for some reason, it's reflecting this blue-ish tint in my camera so i apologize for the photos. not only was it dark already but my camera has poor abilities to capture detail. hahaha!

hi! i live in canada as of the moment, but i also used to live in a tropical country (philippines) and we only had wet and dry season there. i really miss how it is there with the weather. i don't know.. i've never really learned to love the snow here. i even miss it more especially because the holidays are coming! i miss the food, the cool (not chilly-i-can-get-a-frostbite) nights and the fireworks!

failed attempts..

i've been trying to be a good blogger by putting a bit of an effort to take photos of my outfits. however, it's been tough since the winter season has come.. mostly because, it's too dark outside and my indoor shots have been such a fail!

here's my attempt to share with you my outfit today. all of these photos are taken indoors so forgive the bad quality. i just can't seem to find the right camera mode to make the photos clearer.

oohhh this weather..

well.. this week, the weather forecast has been brutal! it's a good thing that these knee high boots came in right on time in the mail for me to be able to use them out! im quite excited to pair my old clothes and ensembles with this new pair!

oh.. these photos were taken at the office lunch room before i started my 8am shift. there were no people around, only chairs.. hahaha!

like i mentioned in my past post, i was able to finish my gift wrapping last weekend!! yay for me.. now i can just relax a bit and prep for some parties im scheduled to attend in the next few days. in the meantime, nothing's better than having some soup with this chilly weather!!

aahhh.. the holidays..

i just finished watching glee!!!! did anyone else catch it? aahhh!!! so many aaawww moments, such a great holiday episode. didn't enjoy all of the songs, but the storyline is really touching.

anyway, a number of you commented on the same sentiments you're having at this time of the year.. too many parties, not enough weekends.. last minute gift shopping and the fact that christmas is coming too soon! i couldn't agree more..

im quite proud to say that im done my shopping and i've saved this weekend for just wrapping my presents! weeehhh!

one weekend, three parties!

wow.. is it just me or have your weekends started getting so jampacked with parties, activities and/or last minute xmas shopping? just this weekend, i attended a friend's bday dinner at moxie's downtown.

saturday night, one of my nephews celebrated his 2nd bday so my family and relatives got together for the event. afterwards, i was invited to another house party to celebrate my friend's bday. since i was so full already, all i ended up doing there was getting some drinks! hahaha!

sunday night was no rest day either. a few weeks back, arianne invited me as her plus one in their annual company christmas party. so we went for dinner at her supervisor's place and then headed to the christmas social by confusion corner.

and ooohh!! another outfit post!! i only got to take photos of the ensemble i wore last sunday and it's also a repeat look, but who cares right? hahaha! it's been awhile since i wore this dress anyways.

this weekend is bound to be busy for me! im attending 3 parties for 3 consecutive days! a bday celebration of one of my friends downtown, a children's party and an early christmas party. aahh!! so much for having my weekends to catch up on much needed sleep! hahaha!

they're starting early this year..

and by my title, i meant holiday parties!!!
last night my girlfriends and i got together for some early dinner and drinking. it was quite awesome that a lot of us ended up attending since it was so rare for us working girls to have time off all at the same time.

we ate at earl's by polo park and even though we waited quite a bit for our food, it was worth it! some of us ordered pasta, steak and burgers. i ordered their cajun blackened chicken which was incredibly tasty. plus, i was craving for something with a lychee taste, so i got their lychee geisha martini.

also, after dinner, my friends and i went for some photo session at the washrooms. it's just so so pretty inside! hahahaha! we can't resist not taking photos with the good interiors and lighting. (forgive the sucky grainy outfit photo though. didn't realize it turned out that way..)

we headed to my friend's apartment to spend the rest of the night exchanging gifts, drinking vodka and watching a movie. of course, we had to take loads of photos by the christmas tree. besides, this was our early christmas get together anyways.. teehee!
