Cake-ology!!!

what i had in mind today was to visit the second day of the fringe festival in the exchange district downtown. to get into the vibe of the whole event, i tried to dress bohemian style! whipped out an old skirt of mine and paired it with this white shirt that i got from my friend.

outfit: top c/o arianne, yrys skirt, wetseal sandals, divi chain necklace, forever 21 shades

i think it was the perfect call for the long skirt because it was so windy this afternoon. look at these shots i took!
i was trying to come up with something for today's food tripping thursday feature when i stumbled upon a newly opened bake shop at the exchange district called Cake-ology.

being an avid fan of desserts and basically anything sweet, i became a happy kid knowing that there's something new to discover downtown. eventhough it may be a bit obvious that the shop specializes in cakes, they also offer a good selection of cupcakes, cookies and cakettes.

what are cakettes? well, that's the same question i asked them and they told me that they're basically cake and buttercream mixed and rolled into a ball and dipped in chocolate! what?! i say yes! so i got half a dozen for $5 and they didn't disappoint!

their cupcakes & cookies look so good too, but i'll save them for next week, when i go see the plays at the fringe festival. but if you're from here in the city and would like to try their baked goodies, you can visit them at 85 Arthur St. Winnipeg, MB. or take a peek at their blog and see their latest creations!! i say yummy!

Do you have a Walgreens - that's where I purchased mine! If not, try walgreens.com maybe they ship to Canada. If not, I'll ship you one, you just gotta ship me one of your favorite drug store products :) That'd be fun

omg!!! you just gave me a wonderful idea! maybe i can ship joe fresh products (available here in canada thru loblaws), while people from the US like you can ship your exclusive products (from target, walgreens, ulta etc..). aaahhh if anyone is up for this, give me a shoutout! :)
