sunday night at the oscars

because i love doing wordy and animated recaps! hahahaha..

* Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz in “Inglourious Basterds”
i loved it when penelope entered in that red gown!! she looked amazing! i think she can never look bad! hahahaha!

* Best Animated Feature Film: “Up” Pete Docter
omg!!! i love that small video they did for the nominations, where they had the interviews with the featured characters. aaaahhhh!!! i love CARL!!! Up WON!

* Best Original Song: “The Weary Kind” from “Crazy Heart” Music and Lyric by Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett
amanda and miley looked like they came from a gorgeous prom night. can be good or bad, take your pick. i personally loved the soft pastels! oh, yay for that song, i loved it!

* Best Original Screenplay: “The Hurt Locker” Written by Mark Boal

* Best Make-up: “Star Trek” Barney Burman, Mindy Hall and Joel Harlow
best 2 minutes of the night goes to Ben Stiller for doing his avatar impression!!

* Best Adapted Screenplay: “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire” Screenplay by Geoffrey Fletcher

* Best Supporting Actress: Mo’Nique in “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”
she always just delivers great speeches, don't you think? :)

* Best Art Direction: “Avatar” Art Direction: Rick Carter and Robert Stromberg; Set Decoration: Kim Sinclair

* Best Costume Design: “The Young Victoria” Sandy Powell

* OMG I totally loved the tribute to the horror movies: WOOHOO!!! THE SHINING forever!!

* Best Sound Editing & Mixing: “The Hurt Locker” Paul N.J. Ottosson

* Best Cinematography: “Avatar” Mauro Fiore
i think sandra bullock looked ravishing, yes?

* Best Original Score: “Up” Michael Giacchino
i was torn between Up and Avatar with this award. i'm so glad one of them won!

* Best Visual Effects: “Avatar” Joe Letteri, Stephen Rosenbaum, Richard Baneham and Andrew R. Jones
i really love what was said in the last part of his speech: "the world that we live in is just as amazing as the one we created for you"

* Best Film Editing: “The Hurt Locker” Bob Murawski and Chris Innis

* Best Actor: Jeff Bridges in “Crazy Heart”
so deserving and i loved how he was so happy to receive the award! :D

* Best Actress: Sandra Bullock in “The Blind Side”
i really need to see this movie pronto! :D i was so happy to see her win and i really loved what she wore! fabulous! :D

* Best Director: “The Hurt Locker” Kathryn Bigelow

* Best Picture: “The Hurt Locker
i was really going for avatar for this one, but it's ok. a lot of raves from this movie and i really think it needs this award so that people will get to see it more.
