i was contacted by bestie of the capricious club a few weeks ago on having a collaboration of some sorts for our blogs. it all started when she wrote a post regarding her affinity towards the knee high socks and oxford shoes trend. all of a sudden, i had a lightbulb moment and thought that we could have a feature where we can show you our own interpretation of current trends: my way, her way!
for our first installment, we decided to go with the socks+sandals trend. amidst the fact that it has been extremely hot nowadays, i managed to wear this trend without melting outside.
the one thing i really adore about this whole socks+sandals pairing is that it extends the look of your sandals. i have had mine stuck in my shoe rack for about 5 years and adding that hint of colored socks with it totally updated this pair. another good thing is with this trend, pulling off sandals during the colder months becomes doable! that's a big plus for a winnipeg-er like me since the weather here can really be erratic and bipolar.
here is bestie's take on the trend. doesn't she look spectacular?! what i really love about her way is that she had pink socks that nicely contrasted with the blue straps of her espadrilles. really summer chic, i must say! plus, it doesn't hurt that we both had our hair in buns and that we paired denim with feminine pieces in our outfits!
i hope you liked this new feature. we hope to continue it together with a couple of bloggers every now and then, becoming a "my way, her way, their way" feature! if you have suggestions for any trend you would like us to try out, please free to email me or bestie (emails are located in our blog side bars).
Oh wow! I really think this collab thing is super cute! :D You both pulled off the look! :) I am super into that style right now, if only i can decide what sandals + what socks color to wear, heehee! :)

Great feature, I am really a fan of the look though I was really doubtful at first. It seemed like such an old man thing to do. But I add them often now! The brighter the better for me.
