recent purchases..

so as i've mentioned in my old posts, i went on quite a shopping spree when i was in calgary. right now, i've tucked them away in my closet but since i haven't really done any decent fashion post (and i don't have an outfit photo to share with you today), i thought i'd share with you what i got...

i need more bottoms: loose trousers and cheap denim jeans from forever 21


not as pictured: this blazer in a cream color from h&m and berets (not toques) from talula c/o aritzia


camel love: coat & corduroys in this season's it color from zara
oh and i also got wedges, but i can't find them in zara's site anymore


skin care essentials: finally got st ive's mask & scrub on sale!


make up musts: nyx jumbo eye pencil in milk & mac matte powder blush in prism

quite a handful, eh? most of those are really things that have been on my ''need'' list like a good coat for winter, some trousers to give me more outfit combinations for work and the mask which i ran out of a few weeks ago. some of them, i just got by using old store gift cards that i have kept in my stash like the beret, blazer and blush (alliteration, much?). and some i just can't resist buying because of their insane cheap price namely the jeans for $11, the scrub for $3 and the eye pencil for $4.

Aritzia Sale!

woot! i'm giddy as a kid in a candy store!

around the city

today was totally windy!!! but that didn't really prevent me from stepping outside and venturing out around calgary. i had 2 major things to do. first was to stopover kensington to purchase some cupcakes for my boyfriend's bday tomorrow. second thing was to drop by the nearest mall to look into new stuff from zara and aritzia.

i went to crave cupcakes and got 4 kinds. i really want to try them all but i'd probably go back again next week. :D
after going around kensington, i went to chinook centre to browse around the stores. zara was HEAVEN!!!!! they have way too many adorable bodysuits!! i want to buy them all!! hahaha! but i was more psyched to go to aritzia. i ended up getting a blue skirt and a striped top. and i still have more in my gc! :D
got home and proceeded to sharing one of the cupcakes with my boyfriend. also ordered some midnight snack pizza from papa johns! aaaahhh!!! too much junk food! hahaha!

gotta love this post since it talks about my 2 favorite things in life: eating and shopping! hahahaha! have a good friday, everyone!

surprises (part 1)

hey everyone!! i know i've been mentioning about a surprise i've been trying to cook up for my boyfriend. well, before i jump into that, i want to excitedly share with you some surprises i've received over the last month, most of which are from freebies or giveaways

1. Aritzia Gift Card. i was one of the lucky winners of a giveaway that vanessa of the hautepursuit had in her blog a month ago. even though the card has been with me for quite some time, i haven't used it yet. but i will soon!!!!!! im so excited!! i've been browsing around the aritzia site and i've been eye-ing a couple of things..
2. CSN Stores Gift Card. at around the same time, jess of lackofcreativity emailed me and told me that i won her giveaway. the folks from CSN Stores were kind enough to give me an online voucher worth $40 to spend on their site. how cool is that?! i still don't know what to get, any suggestions??

3. American Apparel Lace Bodysuit. remember a few months back when i mentioned that i was able to redeem an AA item from chictopia rewards? well, it ended up that that item didn't come in my size so the people from AA were kind enough to send me their lace bodysuit instead. i just received it today and to my surprise, they actually gave it to me in 2 colors: black and navy. im off to wearing them today for my big surprise later on (outfit post next time, i promise).
4. Beso.com Shopping Spree. eventhough i haven't been really active with blogging here, i continue to visit and support other bloggers. while stumbling upon erin of calivintage's blog, i discovered that i have won her giveaway! i've been browsing thru the beso.com site and been oogling over the things i can buy! aaahhh!!! right now, they're holding a contest to find out the best summer recipe you have and they're giving away a KitchenAid Mixer to the winner. isn't that exciting!? summer is here! hurray!


i think now i believe that life can be fair to you most of the time. hahaha!! eventhough i have been having the hardest of luck when it comes to my current employment status, simple things like this cheer me up and motivate me back to be on track. i hope things continue to be better..

anyway...
