i dont know about you, but the weather here has been hot and humid. but that hasn't really limited me into thinking about the cooler seasons coming up. i was just cleaning my closet awhile ago and i realized how much i have so many summer pieces in there. it's really not practical when we only experience around 2-3 months of good summer weather here, so yeah.. i really need to start building a better fall-winter wardrobe.
i was looking through magazines and online sites to know what i should look out for this fall. im probably not a big trendsetter because as much as possible i like to be comfortable and practical with my outfit choices. to be honest, i actually think i adopt trends later on in the season but here are some trends that i might need to try when the weather starts to get cooler.
the coat!
i need to invest on this. i only have one in my closet. i think it's time to retire my puffy jackets. hahaha!
neutrals all the way!
nudes, beige, creams. definitely classic and timeless. i want them all!!!
the pullover!
the sportswear look is transcending through seasons. it's here to stay.
voluminous skirt!
when i get a job by fall, this should be a good incentive for me to dress up in the workplace.

speaking of fall, sway.com is launching their site next season. since i've had a number of new followers lately, i'd appreciate it if you guys can visit sway and sign up for a free account. if you do sign up under my name, you get a free $10 gift card for their launch! they're basically a site that gives you access to new dresses everyday. as members, you get to pick what dresses are set out in the public for re-selling (think of it as you are becoming the buyer for the brand, sway). also, you get first dibs on flash dress sales where the site is able to offer their products for wholesale prices. another neat thing about it is that if you refer a friend and your friend buys a dress, you get a dress for free --YES FREE!!! so go sign up here now.
Comment of the Day: Jen
yay for a swap item, i love this striped top! :)
yay for another swap item from you, this time! sorry, didn't post the rest of the comment because i really just wanted to highlight that the belt and headband im wearing for today's outfit is from jen of jennifhsieh through the clothes swap we had a month ago. i really love how it spiced up the solid colors of my outfit! :D thanks again, dear!
Hey there, its actually a nice photograph but may be there is a little bit lack of editing. Because in 1 photograph, you look skinnier than the other photographs, CMIIW. Nice post :)

I have the opposite problem, far too many winter clothes and literally no summer clothes! Which has been a problem in the last week during our heatwave in the UK lol.

Seeing your happy, adorable pictures is like a breath of fresh air on an otherwise gloomy Monday (BOO for the start of the work week; I am so lazy! Lol). Well at least you have fall to look forward to. Me? I have nothing. Just dreary weather all the way. \=
ReplyDeleteBtw, you asked where my friend Steph bought her black pumps... she got them from Una Rosa. Naabutan mo pa ba yung shop na yun dito? (:
I'm so excited for fall. Favourite season. But a tip, wear your summer clothes during the colder seasons, just layer them. I've been doing that for the past two years and you end up saving a ton of money. Sure, there are some items that you can't really wear all year, but many can be remixed from season to season.
ReplyDeleteYou are just too adorable! I love the outfit, I really need to find a body suit, you always wear them so well!
ReplyDeleteI've been getting excited for fall too... I feel so guilty about that! I really do love summer, but the fall fashions just make me swoon! I would quite happily skip winter though! lol
You're adorable! I love your bag and skirt (:

Yay for fall clothes! I know what you mean, there are sporadic summer days all throughout the year in SF, so you never know when it's going to be hot or cold. I've been looking for a nice pullover sweater too :)
ReplyDeletereally cool that you did a clothes swap! that's an interesting idea that's been floating around...
ReplyDeleteI find that my closet is the same sort of thing, way too much summer clothing and not enough winter. I combat this by having plenty of cardigans and blazers, plus a large supply of stockings to transition it to winter wear :)
