don't get me wrong. im not saying that i'd totally live off whatever i get from the shop. i really just want to make space in my closet. that's the primary reason so i'd probably charge a small amount plus shipping fees. but im still thinking about it.. i need a couple of things to make it happen such as the time to set up the shop page and a decent camera to take photos of my items.
another thing i've been contemplating is getting a facebook account. yes, my dear readers, you won't find me there and to be quite frank, i like it that way. the only thing is, if i really want to increase exposure for the blog and the planned 'shop', then i'd have to consider getting into facebook, right? hmm.. i don't know.. what i do know is if you're one of my friends here in winnipeg or in the philippines, im sure you have been trying to convince me to sign up for the longest time. hahahaha!

First and foremost, I love that hat and the outfit that comes with it.
Secondly, like everyone else... I've kind of kept my blog tucked away for me. The sister tried teasing me about it the other day, but I don't let it get to me. We don't do this as some sort of narcissistic fetish where we just want to look at pictures of ourselves all day. It's more of an outlet to impact more lives and make friends with people you never would've encountered other ways.
The entire point of fashion blogging is to inspire others. That's how it started with me... all I ever did was read fashion blogs, and it helped me see the wardrobe I have in an entirely new way. And most of us hope to one day have the same effect on other readers.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and there won't really be anything you can do to stop the criticisms. But what's important is that we, your readers, have a profound understanding of what it is you're doing, and have an appreciation for your ART.
Allow me to step off my soap box. Carefully, of course.
very well said.. i really can't add anything more to that! out of all the wonderful comments i received regarding my post yesterday, i have to say that this was my favorite. thanks to everyone for sharing your opinions on the matter. i really appreciated it.Secondly, like everyone else... ReplyDeleteI agree with everything your commenter said. And as what I've said on another blog, blogging is also a nice avenue to share the wonders of the world through different eyes. I personally love looking at different blogs because I am drawn to each individual's story and the photos they post. And when I write each entry my goal always is to hopefully inspire others, help readers in whatever way I can in terms of shopping, travels and general things about life, make them aware about some things, and make them love thrifting!=)

ReplyDeleteI say a blog shop is a great way to make some extra cash while giving your "barely used" items a new loving home :) I was thinking about opening a shop too, but most of my "unused" stuff weren't that great and I felt bad making money out of them. So, I donated them!:)
ReplyDeleteDid you manage to get anything from the Aritzia sale? I got 2 bralettes and that's it. Hahaha.. their tops and bottoms are still way too expensive :( Boooo...
Btw, I already replied to your email about the collaboration ;) I'm brainstorming an outfit as we speak!
